The One Exception: Chapter 17 'The Complaint'

The other day a beautiful, but very focused young lady came to my office, very confused. Her employer instructed her to make a pick up by the request of the 'one exception', but when she arrived to make the pickup, the 'one exception' told her she didn't request a pickup & sent the young lady to my office instead.

I listened to the young lady & decided to call her employer to check into the problem. During the call, the employer said that she did indeed get a call from the 'one exception' to pick up a package & sent a messenger. During this conversation the 'one exception' entered the building & with the messenger present & her employer on the phone I asked the 'one exception' if she requested a package pick up. As expected, what happened next goes down as a clearly disrespectful response.

That situation was quickly followed by a call from a furious US Customs supervisor who called out ‘the one exception’ by name and in no uncertain terms stated that if that person EVER bring her disrespectful, crappy, unhelpful attitude and physical presence into US Customs that there will be consequences!

After listening to the US Customs’ officer rant, I simply stated that perhaps a written letter documenting official displeasure with ‘the one exception’s’ clearly unprofessional conduct should be drafted and dropped of to our office so it could be ‘actionable’.

Still waiting in the ’twilight zone’ for that letter.
