The complexities of explaining how value is drawn from something intangible for the majority of people is beyond their comprehension. Don’t waist your breathe explaining blockchain technology to your grandparents they are still of the precious metals mindset.

Cater To Their Desires!

We can either keep beating the same old dead horse “Blockchain Is The Future” and “Down With Fractional Reserve Banking” but Steem is so much more than just a medium for transfer of wealth or a immutable decentralized financial record. See even that little bit of technical language would loose the majority of people.

I suggest an individual approach to each person as we have the projects to support nearly every persons interest. From photography to videography creators can easily find a home but what about those “regular peeps”, how can we get their foot in the door?

Invest In Yourself!

It’s hard to sell someone an idea that is external to them, you must make it about them and not about the technology. Those of us that find this place on our own are about the technology thus where the line is drawn. If your here for the tech then you desire to see where it goes if you just want in on the party the tech that makes it work is just to much information!

Bring in the emotional manipulation, play upon people’s desires to feel importance and encourage them towards self investing their time into creation instead of giving it away freely. So much of our time is given to corporations without anything in return, hours of ads viewed everyday that we receive nothing for! Most recently all the fuss about data mining and using that information against us.

First off we are investing our time into their platforms such as Facebook only to have them make money off that provided attention(watch time) then analyzed and targeted based on our interests. Worst of all sold!

Wouldn’t you rather be paid instead?

Invest in yourself by providing that attention to something that will benefit you through creation and engagement on the Steem blockchain. I said it before Steem is so much more than just a transfer of wealth, it is literally everything we love about the internet in one place!

Something For Everyone!

Many projects offer ways of supporting its users and often its simply through use!

In my opinion is the best mobile app but particularly for newbies, simple and functional all that the average user can handle. Has rewards with in app points rewarded for everyday activities(votes,comments,posts) exchangeable for votes on posts. Get them posting pictures of their animals and #freewrite by @freewritehouse(or what ever their interest are, those are mine) with @Partiko for some easy income with no rewards taken off the top!

So let’s imagine we have them on chain and posting what’s nexts? What will keep their interest? That depends on each persons lifestyle and skills! Obviously if they have some talents there is a place here, even just knowledge or a life filled spirit wanting to share their journey. We must find the right dApp for each person, catering to what they would most desire the appreciation they deserve for their time. Remember sell them on themselves!

Example:

My buddy @BrettBlue has started posting after first opening an account months ago now finding interest in Steem through @drugwars and has begun posting with @Partiko! Super Stoked to have a real life friend with me posting, my partner in crime nonetheless.

@Actifit

So what’s next for @BrettBlue? I suggest @actifit and to push for 2-3 posts daily! 2 Partiko during the day and 1 Actifit before crashing for the night. The idea is build momentum how ever possible and get noticed by your own means! He obviously has my full support but for him to get noticed and support to my level he must build the momentum best he can. Networking is key and I have seen a pretty tight and rewarding community within Actifit when being simply rewarded for everyday activities and writing a quick post with some pictures.

@DTube

Ultimately my push for @brettblue is for vlogging where I have seen the most results and of the two of us he was always the mouth piece, perfect fit! Just a matter of teaching finer details of editing and uploading from a years worth of my learning of a mobile only experience, hey looks like I was right guys not everyone has a pc to do their video posting. Don’t you worry I’m prepared for this and have some awesome tools to share.

What Else Can Steem Do?!?!

Well nearly everything! It is just a matter of what do they find interesting? Search for it! Remember to provide ample avenues of support.

• @steemhunt get paid for hunting products, do you shop/browse a lot?
• @steemmonsters keep them interested with the biggest game on Steem, collect and battle!
• @dpet Simple #dailypetphotography photos
• @dsound if music or podcasts are their thing, anything audio related really.
• @minnowsupport for any help they may need, plus votes on a post every 30hrs.
• @steembasicincome contests are an easy way to earn income on posts by gaining shares in votes for life, very encouraging for newbies.

And so much more, community is a big part of Steem and finding the community which beat suites their interests is key. If it doesn’t exist build it, like I did with #OneLoveDTube 💪. If you got this far in the post I have faith that you have the initiative to look up and find if not then create the community which suites yours and others interests best.

Remember build that momentum in things that are apparently rewarding and find interests personally relative.
