On Our Way To SaltSpring Island - Crofton Ferry
Just leaving the ferry terminal now it’s extremely warm today, glad to feel the cool air from the ocean water flow into the car. So far today we have traveled from Port Alberni through Qualicum, Parksvillie, Nanoose, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, to finally reach the ferry in Crofton. Was about a 3 hour drive taking as many scenic routes as I could.
I am pretty sun burnt today after yesterday’s trip down the river, mostly my knees and ankles hurt but I am pretty pink from the neck down. My straw hat saved my head from the sun as I don’t feel sun stroked today like I normally would. Both mel and I lathered up with solar cane before heading to bed last night , we headed to bed pretty early.
I am pretty stoked to get my last two videos up showing my home town a bit more. Next one is of the Hole In The Wall and after that is our tubing trip down the river. I have so much footage I will be making videos for weeks to try show everything I have done but these day to day Quik vlogs are a ton of fun and it’s actually a bit of a challenge to keep them short. Accept the challenge and try make it as action packed is my take on doing mobile vlogs.
On SaltSpring Island we plan to visit our good friends Chelsea and Forest and of course their 6 Munchkins Taylor, Gaylin and Olivia(twins), Jacob, Isabella, Isaac. It’s always a good time they are pretty well family and it will be good to see them under better circumstances. Maybe we will head up the mountain, put together a SaltSpring scenic views video. It only takes about 40 mins to drive around the entire island, I could talk about all the random places and maybe head up Mount Maxwell check out the view point.
I wonder if Chelsea is still keeping up with my vlogs, last time I was over she had the kids watching my latest video the one about SkipTheDishes. Her kids think I’m famous it’s so cute and humbling at the same time, 20 years from now will I be as well known on DTube as PhillyD on YouTube? That’s a scary idea!
