Feeling Like Cliffhanger Thinking Why Are Humans Destructive - Little Mountain, British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
Little Mountain just outside Parksvillie has an amazing view but it’s really freaking dangerous. Looking down over the cliff you realize each area you can look over from is protruding from the rock face. As Mel said “if you were standing their during an earthquake that whole chunk of rock looks like it would fall” which looking at the rock I was standing on and the rest there are quite defined cracks. Not a single safety rail anywhere, I don’t think this is meant to be a public area but we have been coming here since we were teenagers.
Sad part about the whole thing, looking down you realize people use this place do dump their garbage. Down below is scattered with everything from household to industrial garbage from what I could tell. At least it’s not directly noticeable from the rock face unless brave enough to approach the edge to look straight down.
If anyone ever wanted to clean that mess up I have no idea how they would even begin. No accessible roads and I believe the hiking trail going down is pretty treacherous. So much heavy stuff, such as what looked like an oven, they would either have to cut a road through the provincial park below or helicopter it out.
Makes me wonder, why are humans so destructive of the world around us?
