Are we getting too much free downvotes or too little?
I tried some downvotes yesterday and the it drains 8% of VP. Upvotes drain 2% meaning we should be getting 2.5 downvotes for free. Do you seriously think 25% of the content being voted should be countered with downvotes at ZERO cost!!!
- That's way too much free downvotes
- That's a fair amount
- That's not enough downvotes

I'm not a fan of downvoting to begin with. I understand what they want to do with it, but I think I accomplish the same thing through not voting on something, without the negative human feelings associated with, or directed to me for having done it.
I'm afraid, though, that we'll probably end up seeing more free downvotes at some point, and I'm sure the movement to make them earn something will be revved back up, too.
I feel the same.
I seriously hope nothing like this would happen. It's just a vocal minority ho are asking for these mad BS and these idiots are going to get in the way of the future of the platform.
