Crystal cassette [Day 46]
Crystal cassette
A repeating tape of warm flux,
A cog in the breaking light.
Diamond mist and fire of agate,
I am flowing—I am still.
Skips on the pond-water,
I am an amethyst swan.
Under me, a black eternity,
Above me endless sky.
Stretching out my wings
I become a crystal parabola
Painted in mauve and violet.
Folding my wings, an avian flux
Disintegrating mercurial,
Handful of gravel tossed
Into the sun.
Broken by the wheels of fire,
Birthed into vehicles of void.
A shimmering absence cycling,
I am flying—I swim—I fall.

what a beautiful poem, a very touching poem from every stanza has the deepest meaning "The world is a lonely construction site I am a hard surveyor!" we want a comfortable world from the hardships of the trials, the world of theatrical stage full of lies.

I felt with you through this poem, it seems like mission incomplete or hope dashed. The choice of word is rather simple nor complex, I can say it is just the mixture of it. The images adopted too blend with the message of the poem. Nice write up from @d-pend. Your consistency is what i admire and powerful words embedded in your work.
I like the magical sense/athmosphere which is felt through this poem... Some parts of this poem remind me of Ikarus, who fly high and then fall because of the sun...
Anyway, really powerful poem...

The usage of metaphors in the form of cassette is really beautiful, i do believe and even i can feel that you are talking about human's life, how it is progressing and going ...
