Note

Hi! I actually made this a couple days ago and held off on posting it because it was just a rough sort of "practice" mixing some beatboxing/singing and experimenting with automating the parameters of some effects, mainly ring modulation. There was a lot of background sound from the kitchen which I didn't mind because it was going to be a glitchy track, anyway. I also used a whi I kinda just wanted to make something, regardless of how it turned out. It was a lot of fun.

As usual for my recent creations, I haven't been using much of any sounds other than beatboxing/singing and applying different effects to the different tracks in Garageband. Anyway, I think I learned a good bit about using ring automation in the process. Also, about how big of a difference it can make aurally to mix tracks to zero volume in between them being the "forefront." I also used an adaptive white noise generate to purposely generate some feedback in the beginning part but had to mix it way down because the frequency is pretty irritating.

I probably wouldn't use for anything else since it was somewhat sloppily recorded and executed, but if I were to develop this piece it would need more musical sections to break the monotony, as well as more melodic content to feature on top of the rhythm. Thanks for reading/listening and have a great day!

Wholeness,
@d-pend

Wow... I don't know if I let myself be influenced by images as good as suggestive, but I perceive a feeling of searching for light in the dark. A hidden peace between the chords that induce a state of controlled descent, of discreet visualization subjected not only to the fluttering of what is intuited, stalks and watches our passage through this rhythmic space. It is not action, it is waiting, detail, suspense.
I felt at ease in the subliminal walk through your musical creativity, @d-pend. I embrace your art.

(P.S: The title seems to be part of the language that creates the musical sound, very, very creative)

I haven't been to your sound cloud in a while. Thanks for posting your modulation experiment @d-pend.

The title looks like you typed something in another alphabet key like what happens when I try to type a simple Korean word on the key board but with the settings on English like 안녕, it comes out on the English keyboard as dksud.

In general the piece has a good Halloween feeling. I had just one problem listening. There is a ring in the beginning of the piece from about the 15 to 30 second point. The frequency is too high for me to bear. After it's gone I feel better. Then when it comes back again it must be at a lower frequency because even though the ring is there I feel happy.

I imagine your mouth might hurt after doing the beat box part. Take a good rest.

Thank you for sharing your music, as a listener we always envy composers, the end result sounds really beautiful, I like how you created your music, sounds very modern, I can imagine it playing on Disco may be couple of more instruments, but like in Night Club, Disco that would be really good. As a creator we never hundred percent happy with our works, therefore we need to hear what other people think. That is a great idea to share it on Steemit platform. Have a nice day, @art-venture

@d-pend,

OK, I didn't understand what any of that explanation meant (it's me, not you) but the piece was "pleasantly funky" (I never claimed a wit of artistic talent outside of writing ... I can't even whistle).

And so, I have no idea whether it was brilliant or not. But, I'm here providing moral support and that's something. My daughter tells me not to comment on anything artistic other than poetry and writing. At best, she says, it makes me sound old.

Quill

Haha. There's a unique pleasure in consuming art forms we don't practice ourselves. I feel that way with films, to a degree. I can watch the most horrendous piece of cinema and enjoy it, as I rarely watch movies.

Moral support is definitely something. The worst thing an artist can hear isn't booing and the spheroidic whistling of rotten fruits through the air (can we end the vegetable myth already?) but the emphatic chirping of crickets.

At best? What's the worst case scenario? 😅

@d-pend,

At best? What's the worst case scenario?

Like a hillbilly from the mountains of Boone, North Carolina.

Dear @d-pend sir!
Melodious glitch beatbox music.I was hoping your voice too.
I pray to God for your father to soon recover emergency eye surgery.we hope all will be good.

Hello @d-pend, the piece is very good, I listened to it several times to try to be in your skin. I think it tends to drain the negative energy. The end transmits peace.

Excellent perception, my brother! I perceive something similar.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
