@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:

The "Starlight Bridge" is located at the outskirts of Saigon, in a very quiet, modern quarter that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Once the sun has set, the bridge transforms into an artificial waterfall that is illuminated in bright colours - simply adorable!

@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:

My picture was taken in sydney last winter. It was a great moment during the sunset at the harbor to walk and enjoy the beauty of the city. I was lucky that the sun went down just behind the showboat.

Qurator's Photo Friday #67 - Purple Dream. Sunset at some alien planet out there in the endless Universe. In fact this is winter sunset at Baltic Sea taken through Singh-Ray color polariser. A touch of long exposure brings even more surrealism to the final result. Enjoy it!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #78 - winner announcement!

@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:

On a recent trip to Namibia we got to climb dune 45. Dune 45 is part of the world's largest sand dunes, located in the Sossusvlei desert. We climbed up it at sunrise, it was amazing climbing up through the morning fog, then to watch it all clear away and realised how high up we actually were.

This photo was taken in Vienna at the Danube Canal (Doanaukanal in German). In summer it is a nice place, with many people walking along it at the short nights. The building at the background of the image, is the new Uniqa Tower. The building has an interesting changing light patterns.

You might have heard of Neuschwanstein Castle, which inspired Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Disneyland? This famous palace was commisioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat on a rugged cliff in 1868. What impressed me the most was how it blended into the stunning natural settings around.

The Golden beach at Paros island, Greece.

If you are thinking of spending some vacation time in Greece, the Cyclades complex of islands is a quite obvious choice. Easy to access, this group of islands embodies the triptych sea-sun-food at its best! And Paros sure deserves to be the most popular one!

Just try to skip August :)

Cader Idris
Cader Idris is a mountain in the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park. A very steep climb up the stairs takes you to see the captured view. And if you like you can continue to the peaks!
The landscape varies from side to side. It feels like an abandoned piece of nature, peaceful. The cherry on the cake is the lake in the crater of the mountain.

Barcelona's seafront promenade is one of the most pleasant areas of the city to go for stroll. It has a 5 kilometers length it's a very pleasant walk that goes near the coast and reminds a lot of people of California beaches. The promenade is packed with bars, restaurants, beach bars and sports facilities.

I always wanted to photograph the famous Kranhäuser. In February I had the opportunity to do so because I had visited the city of Cologne for a few days. On this day the sky was clear and the sunset was nice to watch. I opted for a long-term exposure. through this, the ship can only be recognized as a strip.

I am Czech. As long as my country was part of the Soviet bloc, we could not travel freely around the world. I got to Rome for the first time when I was 40 years old. For the first time I saw what I was learning at school. I respect the freedom of travel. I know it's not obvious.
