Hello fellow Steemians!

I am here with another round of my photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below. I host this photo challenge twice a week - on Tuesday and Friday.

You can submit your entries in the current round from now until Friday, 6 AM (CET). Please, don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

The best 15 entries of the round will be rewarded with my upvote. I will also pick the absolute winner of the round from these 15 photos and reward him with an extra upvote on one of his recent posts published on the Steem blockchain. The winning photo will be also featured as the cover image for the next round of the photo challenge to give the author some more exposure and publicity.

There were many great entries submitted in the last round of the Prague/Czech Republic Photo Challenge and I had a hard time picking the absolute winner. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @borran:

I love the gothic architecture of this cathedral, very beautiful. The St. Vitus Cathedral is 124 meters long, 60 meters wide and the main tower is 96.5 meters high. It's the largest and most important church in the country.

Congratulations, @borran! It is my pleasure to upvote one of your recent posts.

Thank you for your submissions everyone. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.

Prague is a fabulous city, and there is in it the main fabulous square. There are thousands of tourists here! You feel like a fish swimming in the sea of people. Thousands of different languages are heard from all sides. Old Town Square always attracts many tourists. There are so many of them that in some places it is difficult to turn around.

The most famous structure in Brno is undoubtedly The Villa Tugendhat as it’s the only one listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Villa Tugendhat is built in the functionalist style of the interwar period by German architect Ludwig Miese van der Rohe.
When you will visit Brno, be sure to go there. However, purchase your tickets several months in advance!

Monument to the heroes who committed the assassination of R.Heydrich, a representative of German Nazi occupiers, Bulovka, Prague
P1100683.JPG
Yesterday it was 77 years old. (27.5.1942) It happened around here. Heydrich was the supreme Nazi who was wiped out during the war in Europe by the home resistance movement. In the following days, the Nazis murdered some 2,000 Czech patriots, including all residents of the village of Lidice.
The monument depicts three male figures thrown into space. Two men are in uniforms, one in civilian clothes. So the paratroopers said they jumped out of the plane. The position also symbolizes self-sacrifice.

I took this photo during our visit in 2015. The statue of Charles IV is almost 4 m high and it's made of bronze. It was designed by Ernst Julius Hähnel. The unveiling of the monument took place only in 1849.
