Steemit Deserves Better Crypto Advice!
I preface this whole post by stating that I don't claim to have the best crypto advice in my posts (I'm just an enthusiast sharing his opinions).
*And yes I do realise I spelled crypto wrong in my blog name...
However I have noticed that there are a lot of people in this community who are posting advice that is misleading and downright bad for the everyday crypto investor.
I think this comes down to Steemit as a platform in general. There is a lot of click-bait-y titles promising readers "easy money". These posts get more views, more money and then they are posted more and more. There is little effort made by some authors to create informative posts.
INVESTING IS NOT EASY MONEY!
There is a high chance that we are investing in the next dot-com bubble! The general investor should understand that the money they invest may never be seen again. Once you understand this then one can come to grips with the possibility of losing money (and therefore make smarter investments).
I'm not saying all advice I see is bad. I follow a couple authors who produce great content that is informative and useful. But I trawl the cryptocurrency thread daily and always manage to see posts that don't do such a thing.
This is a PSA to all crypto-enthusiasts on this platform. Investing isn't easy. Take all advice with a grain of salt (even mine). This is a volatile market. You WILL lose money if you aren't careful. PLEASE only upvote and follow authors that produce well researched, useful and informative posts that don't promise the world. This way authors will be forced to up their game if they want payouts on their cryptocurrency posts.
Sorry for being so angry. I just want to see a better Steemit experience when it comes to cryptocurrency advice.
Have a great day!
