Crypto is never safe on exchanges ...all the time I go to a exchange and do a transaction I cross my fingers...I learned a lot about crypto in the last 4 years and I must say it is ...not so hard to take crypto from a wallet or even a exchange.
Example... create a simple html. file that randomizes password types...you just need 12 to create a pass....press run copy and paste. (This method was proven by the blockchain team - the original one)
Example 2 fake labels - This is hard but not impossible - hacks have been made on trezor and ledger by placing a fake label -with the address of the receiver....
And so on....
My recommendation buy or mine some coins then send them on your normal wallet (pc-tablet-etc) from that wallet send them to another wallet that you never use . If you absolutly need to check your wallet just open the wallet (that has to be on another pc with a different ip address with VPN installed).
Last step I recommend to transfer those funds to a cold wallet that you tested before (nano, ledger, trezor)
All these steps still do not guarantee that your funds will be safe....but they can help....a little.
