Gas Shortage - North Texas

Hello, everyone. My name is Cynthia, and I live in North Texas.

First let me start by saying, I forgot to set my alarm last night. I woke half past seven. This was how the day began!

After showering, dressing and running around as if a rabbit without a head, I left home at 8:45.

Great! I need gas. No biggie, right? Think again. I stopped at the local Kroger only to discover every pump was out of unleaded.
Kroger was out of gas. I drove a little further on to the next stop of our local neighborhood Wal-Mart. This location was also out of gas. On to the next one... and the next (I was able to get $0.19 mid-grade - 4th stop)... on to the next. Literally, 8 stations later, JOY! I am able to fill the tank.

This morning brought back a lot of memories of Katrina for this Louisiana North Shore native. It was odd to see so many people with 5 gallon tanks in their vehicles. It's par for the course for Gulf Coast natives, but this is North Texas. I was expecting the gas prices to rise due to Hurricane Harvey, 40 cents in the last 4 days. Being so far inland in Texas (DFW), I wasn't expecting the Gas Shortage!

I just wanted to share the happenings here in the DFW area, and introduce myself.
