It is vitally important to guide future generations in the direction of Jesus Christ, for this we need to give our children attention, time and above all love.

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it

Children begin to acquire knowledge from a very young age and learn through imitation, they learn from those adults who are around them.

This can be a great opportunity for those who influence the development and formation of a new generation, how can it be an excellent way to train the little ones in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ?

We always start from love and first of all by investing time in the lives of our children, we can do this by reading, talking to them and being together in propitious environments such as nature and in this way we model a pious life, a Christian life in them without forcing them, only being a model.

In order to have a positive influence, we must practice active listening during these moments of connection. This implies showing interest in the things that they believe are important. Everything we do must be based on love and discipline, which even helps us understand the wisdom of respecting limits. God also proposes discipline and this helps us develop self-control from a young age.

For the Lord disciplines whom he loves,
And scourges every son whom he accepts.

Hebrews 12:6

We cannot set aside this moment when we are wrong or make mistakes. We must admit it and recognize it even in front of our children. This shows that we are transparent and this is the example that we present to our children. If we try to appear perfect to our children, it will be difficult for them to trust us with their things.

And the basis of everything will always be love. We must love our children unconditionally, following the example of Jesus Christ. He has loved us and will love us unconditionally, regardless of our mistakes.

But Jesus said, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:14

Being an example and caring for our children involves many actors, they are the ones who are present in their environment, the biblical truth is that if from childhood we instruct them in the word of God they will always live and have God present in their lives, this is our great responsibility since it is not only to dedicate ourselves to them but to work on ourselves to make good examples.
