I very heavily dislike the speedrunning community.

Strange that the gaming community at large gangs up on Narcissa immediately upon her unveiling she is trans, despite the fact she's obviously going through one of the most difficult periods she is likely to experience in her lifetime.
Even stranger that prominent speedrunners would do everything possible to distance themselves from her (despite the fact she is one of the most historically important members of this gaming microcosm), staying silent as she is mercilessly harassed for years.
I'd love to know how these people would feel if it were a close friend or family member of theirs being ceaselessly attacked at their most vulnerable.
Would they still find it acceptable for the community to be so dismissive of open harassment? I doubt it.
People that lack care or empathy need to undergo trauma in their lives to snap them back into reality
