The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has called the attention of the football governing body FIFA to review their fair play consideration which led to Senegal's World Cup eviction on Thursday 28th.

Senegal was found in a 1-0 loss in their last group H match against Colombia which led them to coming third in the group after a critical review by FIFA using fair play rule.

Fair Play rule comes into play whenever two teams end up with the same points, same Goal For, same Goal Against, and tallied Head to Head.

The rule has been in existence for a pretty long time before it was first used against Senegal in the 2018 FIFA World Cup when the situation called for it against Japan. They number of yellow cards got by the two teams was counted, Japan had four yellow why Senegal had six.

The FSF complained on the attitude by which the Japan team began to play especially when they realized Senegal was losing. They requested FIFA should lay a punishment to teams that do that.

"In the nearest future, there should be a penalty from the FIFA for a team that shows that kind of attitude because of Fair Play points." Senegal's spokesperson Kara Thioune told BBC Sport.
