Bad Local Town Planning leaves trees looking ugly and unnatural.

These Chinese Tallow Wood Trees ( Sapium sebiferum ) are usually a very nice tree, but bad planning has left these trees ugly. As they have been planted under the power lines, they have had to be pruned in an unsightly manner to avoid contact with power lines. Better planning would have resulted in selection of more appropriate trees or shrubs to plant here.... trees that don't grow so tall. Trees that have been cut in this way are prone to splitting of trunks and falling branches because the tree is unstable. That could endanger pedestrians and cars that are parked underneath.
