Lithuanian Mythology #4 - Slibinas

Many cultures had their dragons, "Slibinas" was a baltic version which was shared by description with neighbours slavs. The creature was basically a flying hydra and in Russian folklore was defeated by Dobrynya Nikitich. After baptism of the region this role was taken by saint George and legends of defeating dragons are told as defeating paganism.
