IAGON: Revolutionizing The Cloud

Preface

Since the internet and computer usage as a whole has become a very important part of human life and development and their usage have tremendously grown around the globe, it is an indisputable fact that such tremendous growth should be accompanied by exponential increase or if possible unlimited data storage and computing facilities. The digital system as a whole is based two main pillars, data storage and processing. Increase in human population, activities and Internet is bringing about an exponential increase in Global data and this should be contained on platforms, with optimal security and privacy, but at affordable rates.
In my post today, I will bring to light a platform that aims to provide cloud computation and storage services at convenience of users. But before I introduce this saviour, let's get to know more about cloud computation and storage for those who are hearing this for the first time.

Cloud storage and Computation

Have you ever used google cloud or drop box to save your documents or back up. That's an example of cloud storage.
Recently, Artificial intelligence and Big data technologies have shown very tremendous increase in their adoption in all aspects of human endeavor, and also statistics show exponential increase in demand of data storage and processing power which are very important factors which determine the growth and status of the entire digital system.
Cloud storage and computing services are rendered by bigger games like Amazon, Google, Drop box etc. To smaller firms and individuals dealing with large data, this concept was aimed at enabling a convenient access to shared flock of configured computing networks, storage, servers and other computing resources with less effort. Present day situations reflect a very different thing from what is expected. Let's take a look at current market outlooks of cloud computation and storage.

Market View point of cloud computation

Behind many digital platforms, apps and websites exist models and advanced computational processes which are created by ideas and algorithms inspired by or originated from the human brain, this advanced computation models are known as artificial intelligence.
All processes like web search, voice recognition, face recognition, appropriate word matching, etc. are applications of AI. Although the application of this concept are of great benefits and are expected to experience substantial increase in the future (as shown in the graph below), IMG_20180724_213728.jpgthere is a great need for constantly increasing and power computational facilities, this is because the complexity of their activities increase by the day. Presently, companies spend a great deal of resources on processing units (CPU's and GPU's) or cloud processing providers as they try to increase their processing power. Hence, this is a major challenge as it contributes greatly to high expenditures in such companies.

This also is a service based on transfer of files and data from local servers to remote storage servers and facilities whose working algorithms are esoteric to users although they are accessible to and manageable by users.
In such cases there is need for optimal security and privacy of user data. The present day cloud storage service provided by this centralized companies include lost of stored or incorrectly written files and users are charged at unbearable rates.

Common technical faults experienced by most cloud service platforms

Two kinds of faults are attached with the operations of this systems, they may originate from users, servers and retrieval systems:

  • Crash faults

An example of crash fault is a fault from an incorrect or incomplete written file or data on domain folder, access to such data is lost.

  • Performance-degrading faults

Low quality performance is an example of such faults, this could be as a result of leaks from processing units. This faults from such platforms could lead to great losses that may worth many millions of dollars. an example as stated in the IAGON whitepaper is AWS recent blackout (march2017)

IAGON

IAGON is a decentralized blockchain platform that provides q vast amount of data storage space and processing power by harnessing unused storage capacities and computing power of multiple computers on a decentralized grid. The vision of this platform is to create a universal ultra-super computer based on AI and blockchain technology, This is possible by being integrated to local servers and smart devices.

Although there are many other decentralized platforms offering secure storage (like filecoin, IPFS, siaCoin etc) Most of this platforms are plagued with issues of reliability and privacy, most of them do not have features for data recovery in case of data loss, this feature is a constituent of the unique nature of IAGON

This structure allows original data to be disintegrated into blocks distributed across nodes. Through very sensitive algorithms and processes this structure ensures that nodal manipulations of user data are impossible as data returned are rejected and files transmitted tempered blocks are redirected to other nodes for reprocessing.

Data Mining

This is another significant aspect that portraits the uniqueness of IAGON. Miners don't need to store files and data so as to mine, the sole duty of miners is to duely and honestly complete task, processes and offers and then redirect output to IAGON's AI for final analysis.IMG_20180724_213455.jpg
This ensures that miners are incentivized for storage space and processing power by using a more unique reward system "proof of variance". Miners are rewarded based on the quality and amount of resources they contribute (This is not the case with algorithms used by other platforms such as proof of work etc.)

  • Information from the IAGON whitepaper enlist some reported threats and risks, results from hacked databases and IT systems. With the introduction of such a secured platform as IAGON with its unique Secure Lake Technology and unique platform structure, Security breach is impossible and in case of any, user data cannot be accessed or modified by intruder.

The IAGON blockchain is maintained privately and a major reason for this is to ensure honesty and also allowing the platform to compete favourably with long standing databases which are already in the market. It is easier to research and develop private blockchains than the others.

The Tangle Tech

Problems like scalability problems and others associated with implementation of blockchain technology for large scale operations is addressed by running the IAGON secured lake technology and Super grid features on the tangle platform.

Mining algorithm

As mentioned already in my post, the proof of variance algorithm is most suitable for the IAGON platform, since blocks are continuously and data validation and processing is metachronous in nature, by a set probability-based mathematical algorithm, the reward system rewards miners based on individual competition groups.

Resolution Protocol

Like all autonomous systems, there is always a need for some form of manual intervention when dealing with anomalies. The resolution protocol has a set of rules when dealing with anomalies to either resolve it
automatically or perform further processing by sandboxing the request and allow manual intervention to

Encryption/Decryption

The encryption/decryption protocol is used for internally stored data. All data stored within IAGON’s platform
is encrypted to some degree to protect the data in the event of a breach. IAGON has a variety of options to
store data on its platform including SQL, NoSQL , private Blockchains and other 3rd party storage providers
which are compliant with regulatory requirements. IAGON at its core use AES-256 to encrypt and decrypt data.
AES -256 is the encryption standard recommended by the NIST (National Institute of Standards and
