Giant Crack in the Ground
Giant Crack in the Ground, Christmas Valley, OR
Hello there! Do you love to get away and explore or discover hidden treasures like we do? If you live in Oregon, this is an adventurous weekend outing worth checking out!
This was quite an interesting place to visit! They call it Giant Crack in the Ground. As you drive toward this giant earth crack, you are completely surrounded with nothingness. Miles and miles of vast empty land. It kinda feels like you are on some barren planet, and you wonder if there is any life. But if you explore a little deeper, you find some really amazing stuff. This is located in Christmas valley in the eastern Oregon high desert. There are some old ghost towns and forgotten stories out there, that had us feeling like we went back in time.
Here are some pictures of our adventure into the Crack! Id love to hear if you've been here! What did you experience?
Thank you so much for reading! Much LOVE to you!

The path to the Crack is open, flat and vast! The middle of high desert nowhere!
The entrance. This giant crack goes on for about 2 miles!
Some truly incredible rock formations. They say this was formed from a volcanic fissure thousands of years ago. As I looked at the truly magnificent rock walls, they reminded me of cross sections of plants. The curves, the holes and spongy molds. It was definitely a trip to see. Amazing.
The crack is deep and towers about you a few stories at least! And some of the rocks have fallen over, big boulders that have created bridges and tunnels. This hike will have you crawling under, over and through some pretty sweet rocks!
These rock formations were truly amazing. However they were formed, all I could think about was how much they looked like plant cross-sections! The rounded groves so perfect and geometric. What do you see?
My handsome boys and I! They are so fun to adventure with!
Do you see a face? Isn't that awesome?!
Love. I have an affinity for hearts and rocks.
What more can be said?! Thank you for being here! Hope you enjoyed this interesting little unknown piece of Oregon!
