The Super League project failed, but in spite of this three clubs are still not out of it: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus

On May 7, UEFA announced the return of nine of the twelve clubs involved in the Super League, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, who had agreed to formally withdraw.

Just the next day, the clubs not involved in the deal - Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid - jointly claimed "pressure, threats and insults from third parties," and explained their reasons for launching the Super League, insisting that there were already court rulings prohibiting UEFA and FIFA from taking any action against them.

Why did nine clubs decide to go back to UEFA after all?

Because UEFA wants the clubs to play in the Champions League and also because they bring a lot of money to the organization 💸.

Why did the teams go for this deal?

Right now, all the soccer clubs are suffering financially because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it didn't make sense for UEFA to try to nail them even more.
But it was important for the clubs to get back in, especially the six clubs, because of the very harsh reaction of their fans to UEFA leaving.

On May 5, it was known that only seven clubs agreed to return. What changed so dramatically the opinion of the other two, AC Milan and Inter? Was there a threat from UEFA to ban them from European competitions?

Inter and Milan knew, as did the rest of the Super League trio - that legally they had a firm position. The suggestion is that they were pressured.

The two clubs were under pressure from both UEFA and the other seven clubs.
UEFA was ready to meet only if a minimum of nine clubs agreed. That number of teams, according to the Super League statute, means that the Super League ceases to exist. It should be remembered that these soccer clubs exist in a bundle, they are interdependent and without each other it will be very difficult to exist.

Nine clubs left and each is contractually obliged to pay 150 million euros to the remaining three clubs, but it's hard to imagine that the mega clubs of Europe suddenly start suing each other over this. In the future, they should all work together. Let's not forget that FIFA rules say: That clubs cannot sue each other.

What will happen to Barcelona Juventus and Realm? What is in store for them?

UEFA can start a disciplinary case, and the maximum penalty is a two-year ban. But they sincerely think that they will not be disqualified or even punished.

First, there is a court ruling in Madrid that prohibits UEFA from punishing them until the legality of the Super League is reviewed.
