there is always money to be made in BTC but i do believe that alts have the possibility to make you a lot more over a shorter period of time :)

so absolutely. a new coin or token with a great project behind it have so much more value then BTC would have. I would never say BTC is worthless. however, it does only have the 'currency' aspect when some coins do actually have products behind them :P
