Venezuela Cryptocurrency to Draw Investment From Turkey, Qatar-Official
We are seeing governments throughout the realm slowly adopt cryptos.
Our latest example is Venezuela. We love #venezuela
Apparently Venezuela's government, under President Nicolas Maduro, wants to develop crytpocurrency for Venezuela called the, petro. Sounds like Petrol to me Nickolas. They are going to set it up called Petro coins for buying and selling oil? That is pure speculation based on zero evidence. At least I am honest when I lie.
Maduro has said that the sanctions against them from the Trump admin has forced them take action. The double digit inflation is driving decisions.
CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's new "petro" cryptocurrency will attract investments from Turkey, Qatar, the United States and Europe, the country's cryptocurrency regulator said on Friday.
The government of President Nicolas Maduro, which says the petro will help skirt financial sanctions by Washington, has scheduled the first petros sale for Tuesday.

A cryptocurrency case is now making its way through Chicago federal court.
Charging documents say Joseph Kim was an assistant trader for a Chicago firm that recently formed a virtual currency group. He was charged Thursday. His attorney, Bill Ziegelmueller, didn't immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.
The complaint alleges Kim transferred more than $2 million of the company's cryptocurrency to personal accounts to cover his own trading losses. It says he made false statements to management to hide the theft.

This isn't really a #cryptocurrency story per say. It is more of a money laundering story, it just so happens the format was in crypto. IMO I just imagine Chicago Police slipping on the ice trying to stop #cryptos. Okay back to the news.

I hope this fork is not just another pump & dump.
