In this #video, I mentioned the recent speech of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, in which he said that it is just a matter of time when they will integrate Bitcoin's Lightning Network with Square’s Cash app. Also, I commented on recent criticism about XRP from Blockstream CSO Samson Mow.

Ripple is being criticized because their supposedly centralization. In the blockchain sphere, centralization is a buzzword. While all DPoS consensus blockchains are highly centralized, they are not as hated as Ripple is.
I am not a Ripple holder, in fact I think I have never own any XRP token, at least in a direct way. Some Iconomi array could own it, however. But I consider Ripple to do a massive amount of work for marketing blockchain technologies. a few financial institutions are being exposed to those terms. People are also hating those who own XRP tokens. Maybe someone should tell them that XRP has almost nothing to do with that centralized bankster platform they hate so much.
Ripple is hated the same way open-source software activists hate Windows. I am not running any windows device since a few years ago. But it is clear to me that Microsoft has being performing a great amount of work in the open-source sphere. But the hate them.

Btw, I also agree with you that DPoS are highly centralized if compared to PoW.
Yeah, I also think that Ripple and XRP have been contributing a lot to the cryptocurrency market, just by having been mentioned in the news. Because the ordinary people hear such kind of words like: "Ripple", "XRP token", "blockchain", "crypto", etc. So, you are right it could be considered as a very good marketing campaign for the crypto market.
