6th #Ulog: What A Beautiful Winter!
Hello my fellow Steemians and Uloggers!
This is my 6th #Ulog and I want to share with you how I spent the weekend. Actually, I will tell you what I did yesterday, on Sunday.
So, let me start ... On Sunday I slept until 10 a.m. I was a bit tired, because last week, during the work days, I'd been overloaded with work , so I decided to sleep a bit more. He-he. But, in the afternoon I went out to have a walk. In the picture below you can see the area I live in:
It is already Winter in Moscow, Russia! So, we have snow almost everywhere, but it was not very cold yestereday. During the day it was between -6 and -10 degrees celsius.
Ok, let me show you ne more pic of the area I live in:
Of course I went to the park that is located close to the place I live in:
Actually, it is not exactly a park. It is a park adjacent to a small forest:
In the picture above you can see that the lake is frozen and covered by snow. So, it looks like a field covered by snow.
One more pic of the frozne lake:
But, there is another lake, and part of it was not frozen (I don't know why). And there were ducks swimming in it:
Later, I went to the forest. There is a stable in the forest. I like it! I like horses, but I am a bit afraid of them, because they are very big...Anyway! So, when I went to the stable I saw some ladies that were horseriding:
One more picture of the stable (I like the horses):
After having visited the stable, I went to Ostankino park, that is adjacent to the forest. You can see in the picture below the Ostankino tower and another frozen lake in front of it:
It was almost 4:10 p.m. at that time (I mean when I went to the Ostankino park):
Yeah, the day is very short here, in Moscow, during the winter. Usually in December at 4:30 p.m. it is already dark, and the night starts. And, as I said earlier I am from Bulgaria (a small country in Southern Europe), but, at the momentm, I live and work in Moscow, Russia. So, I really miss the sunlight. To be honest, I am not afraid of the cold, even if it is -30 degrees by celsius. But, lack of sun make me a bit depressive during the winter time.
Ok, let me continue my story... So, I went to the park. It turned out that there was a dance floor in it:
And, at the Dance Floor, there were people in their 60s, or 70s, or 80s, who were dancing:
Probably, if you dance you don't feel the cold.
Ok, I decided to continue my journey through the park. To be honest Winter is also very beautiful! There were so many wooden coffee shops/houses in the park. You can get a hot tea or a coffee. Or even buy some snacks:
Later I went to the metro station. A fellow Steemian had called me on the phone, and we had decided to meet in the city center. So, I went to the city center and met him at Turgenevskaya Station. There is a very nice theater there:
Close to the theater, there is a very nice Chinese restaurant in Myasnitskaya Street :
Ant this is Myasnitskaya Street:
Wa walked down the Myasnitskaya Street:
There is a Burger King in this street. I like burgers! So, we went to Burger King:
I orderd a whopper and french fries:
After having eaten the meal, I was much happier :):
So, after having visited the Burger King, we decided to go to the Red Square:
There was a big Christmas tree in the Red Square:
And, of course, in the Red Square there was/is A BIG ICE RINK!!! Yahoo!:
I like the ICE RINK:
Please, let me show you one more pic of the ICE RINK! I do like it!
Ok, after having visited the Red Square we went to Auchan in Tverskaya Street. Auchan is a french international retail group that has many food stores all over Europe:
I like candies and chocolate, and so on:
So, I got some candies and went to the cashier to pay for it:
:
Later, we walked down the Tverskaya Street. There are massive Soviet-era buildings on it:
Of course, in the evening it was getting slowly colder and colder and we decided to go home. So we went to the metro station. On the way to the metro station I took a picture of a chapel built almost 400 years ago. That chapel was built in 1620:
So, a bit later we got to the metro station. Some of the metro stations are very old. That is the escalator in the station:
This is the train platform:
And, this is me, waiting for the train on the platform:
Ok, in almost 30 minutes I was already close to my home. This is again the area I live in. It is exactly the same place where from my journey started in the afternoon:
That's it for today!
