Intel will allow integrated graphics drivers to apply optimized settings that improve game performance and maybe mining
Intel has developed an application similar to the GeForce Experience solution delivered by NVIDIA, but addressed to Intel processors with integrated graphics acceleration. This opens up for end users to optimize games, but also for those using the power for cryptocurrency mining to get more juice.
Even if it does not offer a very competitive performance level, the graphics acceleration solutions included with Intel processors can run under acceptable PC game conditions by adjusting the resolution settings and the detail level sufficiently. The problem is that most users are not really good at finding the optimal image quality settings, resulting in a less than ideal gaming experience. Intel promises to do this by equipping video drivers with automatic game optimization, taking into account hardware capabilities.
In particular, the new Dell and HP laptop models are powered by Kaby Lake G processors, with integrated graphics solutions from the Radeon Vega series. Similar performance optimizations will also be applied to Intel Iris Pro graphics interface systems.
Thus, Intel will ensure an optimal level of performance in Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, American Truck Simulator, Call of Duty WWII, Destiny 2, Dota 2, Grand Theft Auto V, League of Legends, Overwatch and World of Tanks, other games and will be added by updates to the video driver. Also I believe that this opens up the possibility of doing optimization also in case of cryptocurrency mining. Yes, the power might not be enough compared to the dedicated video cards, but I think that is something extra that can be done in order to get some new earnings.
