What Do You Like About Cats?

We had a few cats before, it was when we had an infestation of mice in our house so my father decided to get a pet cat. So I just played with it with a ball tied with string attached so that we can condition it to chase on things particularly the mice in which it was intended to catch.

It was effective though, we had him catch some mice which it sometimes played with and sometimes half-eat it but at first it learned to catch some cockroaches and it didn't mind the smell too and it is funny when it is playig with what it caught, sometimes we had seen it playing with a house lizard too.

The cat's name was "Bentong", a nickname of Roberto but we called our cat Bentong. It was actually had been my sister's pet as she was the one bathing it and making it clean until it just wants to get out the house where it often comes home soiled and smelling bad.

It died because our neighbor whacked it after stealing their food. But it was able to run home where it passed-away maybe due to internal injuries. We also had other cats which some are killed by unknown reason as we found it at the side of the road, the other one was also got whacked by the same person, our neighbor and again with the same reason, stealing their food.

After those incidents we never owned a pet cat again and just decided to use effective traps for mice infestation like the cage trap which sometimes catch multiple mice at the same time inside. Our house now is not good in housing cats because we have no more backyard to dispose its litter.

So even though I do love Cats and dogs or maybe even other pet animals due to my health issues and my parents getting old as well which we both needed clean environment to live-in, we just have to forgo with the idea of getting pets for some utilization because of the said reason.
