The Spirit Of "Bayanihan" Is Also Here In STEEM Community

In my culture there is a term like "Bayanihan" which just means a concerted effort of able-bodied men to lift and transfer a physical house of their co-villagers into a suitable or safe place. It is a cheerful event of chatting, cheering, laughing especially when the job is done then the owner of the house would prepare foods, just simple foods like lunch of rice and viand and cold water to refresh those that cooperated to transfer the house from its point of origin unto its destination site.

The practice is now getting forgotten already as many people now prefers to settle in concrete houses permanently in one place plus lands are getting distributed unto the kindred of families who owns the lands and they build fences around it to secure their property.

But the spirit of "Bayanihan" remains in the hearts and minds of many Filipino where they would cooperate in times of when someone is in need. But I myself experienced it here in steem when a lot of people came to lend a hand on me when I was just starting up in here. So I must say that the "Bayanihan" spirit and essence is also here in this community.
