One Of My Nurses Is Going Away To Work Abroad Again As Usual

Brain drain, that is what is happening to my country as professionals and other skilled workers would go abroad to work. They have to because there isn't much any opportunities here that could possibly at least sustain a good living for most families. So they have to sacrifice in leaving their family and go away in a far away country that they are not familiar with or maybe being an alien to.

It is often not good to leave the family especially if you had left when your child is growing-up because if you would come back if that child didn't see you for a couple of years then you will not have a close relationship with them anymore. I mean it is different because it happened to me and my siblings with our father. We can never joke around with him and all that bonding tie activities, it just won't happen. I can't even remember when my father tapped my back, rub my head, or kissed me as a son. It is because we are now quite having an estranged feeling about my father because we gre up with him not around and if he comes back working abroad he also didn't brought us his family to eat together out. He is just as always would cook some beer foods and drink with his buddies who are just around for the fun and not for help when help was needed.

It is not my father's fault though that he has to work abroad, he was just doing it for the purpose of our family's survival becuase if he owuld ever work here then we will not eat that regularly anymore, me and my siblings will not be able to go to school, and much of the basic stuffs that we needed. So my father will go and read the classified ads to seek work again until he had gotten old enough not to get hired.

My father by the way is a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic, that is his specialty but being a blue collared worker he really can't command his salary which is just too low. That is why when growing up I just didn't experience going out on vacation. The only close to vacation that I had was when we have a class tour with my school, they often let us visit other non-educational places where we can swim and have fun, so without that my high school would have been so boring.

Anyway, the salaries brought or sent by overseas workers to my country gives strength to the economy of the country and without it my country would have been so poor like Bangladesh and such because we do not have oil here that we can use for supporting the whole of the country.

I am a bit sad when my nurses would go work for abroad because there is a level of feeling there that I will miss them even though I do not consider them as friends. It was the way as it was before, nurses come to get some experience in being a dialysis nurse and then they will apply for a job abroad after which they will soon going to get hired and leave the center. Another new nurse will apply to the dialysis center and the cycle begins again. Again I am not blaming them for leaving because they have to, they only get a minimal salary here but if they would work abroad they will make much more to make a good and comfortable living.
