My Dialysis Session Went Fantastic Again
It seems that my nurses now are not apprehensive anymore in setting the blood pump to 300 as per my request. They are actually setting-up the machine to ramp-up the sodium pump into my system which is their technique to make the blood pressure to stabilize or basically go up while under dialysis treatment.
Unfortunately it has the effect of making me deathly thirsty about an hour before the termination time until I get back home. So I will have no choice but to drink fluids because it is just so impossible to endure thirst, it has to be quenched even though you are already congested with water and near drowning with your own body fluids.
I went nervous at first after getting hooked-up because my blood pressure went down to 120 Systolic. Then I just slowly sipped my brewed coffee which invigorates my heart to pump blood. I was observing if I will ever feel the tell-tale signs of a crashing BP but nothing, it remained stable up until the end of treatment.
I am still kind of "shocked' with the way my blood pressure is behaving lately after I stopped taking Gabapentin which I now certain was the main culprit of my crashing BP issues many years ago. I was just taking it to give me a form of relaxation, enhanced sleep, and reducing pain. I was really not in suspicion that it was the cause of my problematic BP until I figured out that Gabapentin has an effect on the muscles considering the heart is a muscle and is in direct effect of the relaxing effect of Gabapentin.
My problem now is that my BP gets high at times which can lead to even more higher BP which will strain the heart and cause heart issues leading to death. I do not want to take BP medication because the root cause of it should be addressed first meaning it is hypervolemia that causes HB pressure for dialysis patients which again hard for me to control since I am only getting twice per week dialysis sessions because it is hard to go for dialysis with not only me going to there, it is time-consuming and is an additional expense as well.
But all in all I am happy that my problematic BP is now finally solved and I am getting a more satisfactory results about having my blood cleaned compared to many years that went through where at one point it scared me that I might not get to endure every session until I am finally done for, thanks be to God.
