My Dialysis Session Day Today Was A Dismay 🩸👎🏼😓

Things Like This Happens

I don''t know what happened because my blood pressure just went down about more than an hour after my hook-up for my dialysis. But my BP was around 150 Systolic before I got hooked-up and my mother didn't come at around an hour after my cannulation because the convenience store was not ready yet in preparing for food.

About two hours after me getting hooked-up I was already feeling weak and light headed considering that I did ate some food prior so I was confident that at least I will hold my blood pressure. And so I was eating and I am already hypotensed which affected my appetite and I wasn't able to finish my food nor my drink for that matter.

A Blood Pressure Crashing Like A Meteor Is Hard To Endure

A few minutes later I am just restless already and my drowsiness went away which is a classic sign of hypotension. I called the attention of the nurse and she read my BP as "cannot hear" which prompted my nurse to fix the issue by infusing saline solution into my system.

It worked a bit but not enough for them to continue my session normally. I do not know if they just bypassed the treatment but I haven't felt much substantial cleaning of my blood. I also went home heavier than the last time and so this day is just a full on dismay and I am angry about it.

My Blood Pressure It Seems Is Like A Game Of Chance For Me

I have no clue on what happened and why my BP didn't hold considering that I did eat something prior for my dialysis and even with that my blood pressure still plummeted. So just do not know what to do now since I exhausted all the options that I know to help me with my dialysis day issues like this long-standing problem of crashing BP.

Maybe next time I would eat more and drink coffee? But I don't know if it of use since I really do not want to spoil my appetite before my session. But still I will continue of what I was doing before since getting hooked-up in an empty belly is I think not good than getting dialyzed in an empty stomach.

Maybe it is just that my meal time got delayed today which had lead to the disruption of my dialysis which just irritated my feelings as my dialysis is very important to me and its completion.

Maybe Eating Heavily Prior Of Getting Hooked-Up Is The Key

I really do not like eating prior for my dialysis, it just spoils my appetite plus usually I do not have appetite just before dialysis especially in the wee hours of the morning.

It is not good too with the convenience store where I buy my food because they are not putting extra gravy in my food, it is now not good to eat and adds less enjoyment for me in eating it. It is because it is easier for me to eat and meal with gravy because it adds texture and flavor unto the food.

So now I just do not like the very early dialysis schedule in that regard and if I was to swap my schedule they will just put me in the last set which would mean that I will be going home in the middle of the night in which my parents doesn't like at all as it affects their sleep time and quality.

Other Dialysis Alternatives

I am really fed-up with going out twice a week for my dialysis because I do not get to control it and just solely relying on other people in doing it for me. The bad thing is that they do not always listen and doesn't address my concerns most of the time plus I do not feel that they have that much concern about the patient's needs. All I know is that they are just wanting to have an experience so that they can go out of the country and practice what they have learned there. So the quality of treatment suffers and the patients suffers judging by the fact on how the patients look like in terms of their well-being proves what kind of medical quality we get from this country that I live into.
