I remember about 22 years ago when in my birthday the Nephrologist in the capital city had told me that I can never be treated for my kidney ailment because I have a viral hepatitis. I went home that day weeping because I know from that moment that I will not have a good future regarding my health and my life. And so my Kidney failed after three years after that event.

Me as a dialysis patient is exposed in contracting viral Hepatitis because my blood is taken out and then cleansed in the dialysis machine which is shared with other people who are in turn receiving blood transfusions and further magnifying my risk of contracting the dreaded liver disease.

In fact I am now positive in both viral Hepatitis B and C and probably other liver disease. Now I am just praying that those viral Hepatitis won't bring my health down but it is just a false hope for I know that in time my body will succumb to the ill-effects of the viruses in me.

So I urge every steemian who are not yet tested against viral hepatitis especially those that are high risk people who work in hospitals, those who plan to have tattoos, or sex workers or even you because Hepatitis is a very dangerous ailment which can be prevented if you just ask a doctor about it and give you necessary simple treatment that could save your life in the future.
