I Thank God For The Feeling Of Hunger

Today I texted my mother to buy me that usual convenience store food that I am eating while hooked up for my dialysis. It is just some fried pork with a regular coating but with gravy over rice. For me it is delicious because I had gotten the taste for it, the taste isn't that special, in fact I can't even eat it after dialysis. But today I just ate a bowlful of it and actually craved for more. The gravy makes it more eatable because it helps me chew it and swallow.

That is after I already downed a thermos-full of pure pineapple juice from a can that I am always drinking for an added calories and nutrients in my diet and then before that I ate a saucer-full of rice cake that my mother had made that she brought to my eldest brother as a birthday welcoming gift and to accompany my other brother in giving him back the money that he had donated because he wasn't able to use it when the doctor discovered that his health is already cleared from blockage, that is how good my brother is .

If I Happen To Crave For A Certain Food I Can Eat Relatively Well

I do not know but I am really surprised about my appetite today. Maybe it was due to the fact that I ate late because I just had the rice cake at 11:30 AM and a couple of hours later was the pork rice bowl that my mother had brought me. Her actual plan was to buy me some Maki rice rolls but I was really craving for the pork with gravy over rice in a bowl from the Ministop convenience store. But the Maki store was closed and thankfully I had texted her beforehand to but me the rice bowl otherwise she might had bought me something else.

My body is actually craving for meat at the time that my mother had laid down the bowl on my makeshift bed-side table which was a kitchen chair. Then I requested for a spoon and digged-in. It was so pleasant, the saltiness just made me to crave for more rice but I just contented myself with what the rice bowl contains. I usually eat it with extra rice to make me full and for me to mask the pleasant saltiness of the fried pork with gravy.

I Just Always Crave Soft Rice And Fried Tender Meat With Gravy Because Of My Issues In Chewing And Swallowing My Food

I finished it like what I usually do while hooked-up at dialysis. It was nice to have some improvement in y appetite despite the side-effects of my Cinacalcet medicine. That is why I take it at night time so that my body could recover before my next meal which could be in the early or late morning.

I just hope that there are many times like this one where I am surprisingly eating well. Well it means that my iron tablet therapy is working and I will just see in the coming month if my appetite will be like this. I will then just continue in taking iron supplements because it is seemingly working for my appetite and sleep quality.

I Regard This Day As One Of Happy Moments Where At Least I Got To Enjoy My Food

I do not want to remember the years that I am not able to eat because of anemia where often my hemoglobin would fall below 90 even while the normal range is 140-180 and at that point I just am taking coffee with my meals just to help me swallow my forcefully eaten food. But now due to my anemia being solved by the miracle of God I am just now trying to enhance my appetite and sleep so that at least I could feel near normal and my well-being getting improved by my efforts. I also pray to God to never let anymore illness to pop-up because it will be just too much to bear.
