Today I had the mild shivers while hooked up at dialysis and because of that I didn't finished my drink which was ice cold. I just sipped some and swished it in my mouth to dissipate the cold and warm it up before swallowing it.

I didn't tried to finished the entire amount in my thermos in fear of having to worsen my chills because I am just mildly shaking from within as if I showered with a cold water on a cold night.

It was not originating from an infection though and I was really sensing my body if it was from an infection caused by an old dialyzer because my dialyzer today was on its seventh re-use and the more re-use I make of it the more susceptible my blood gets in infection characterized by chills, lowered blood pressure, restlessness especially, and headache.

None of the aforementioned was present except the mild chills and it only happens when one is anemic and I am sure that my hemoglobin is still not up because I am really sensitive to cold nowadays.

I hope that my hemoglobin level would not fall even more or I will be forced to buy that expensive, heavy on the pockets, Erythropoeitin hormone injection which is a hormone to make the bone marrow produce red blood cells.

Now my appetite had worsened even more because my hemoglobin is relatively lower compared last year. I really thought that it would not fall down again but it did. That is why I am on my iron supplement therapy so that I could support my body/bone marrow to produce more blood that will in return would possibly improve my well-being as well as my appetite more.

Plus also I will have more resistance to the cold showers and weather for that matter because it is hard to endure such situation especially if you are under dialysis treatment where there are many things that could make you feel awful that can affect the quality of your dialysis treatment like what happened today where I suffered some shivering while hooked-up.
