In our church (mcgi.org) we have a regular gathering celebration of what we can a "Thanksgiving Celebration Of God's People" and it is celebrated weekly, and quarterly. On the weekly gathering only a certain individuals, church localities, or certain groups in the church are scheduled for thanks giving that week for their own reasons or purposes and it can be a reason like anniversary of their being member or the birthdate of their baptism day because in our church we are inclined to celebrate our date of baptism compared to the baptism of of our carnal body. Then there many more reasons for setting-up a schedule for certain individual or groups like getting well or recovering from sickness, not getting harmed from accidents, getting hired for a work or job locally or abroad, giving birth to a child, graduating from school, birthday or anniversary of establishing a local church from a village, town or city somewhere in the world. So anything is a valid reason to be thanking God because there is nothing in the world that we can give God except for giving thanks to him because of his goodness to us.
