Dear Diary: Today I Ordered This Rice Cake Delicacy For My Breakfast

I just thought to have some of these rice cakes which is made out of basically with rice flour, flour, brown sugar, annato coloring, and food-grade lye water.
The Lye acts to make the cake get a tensile properties and some flavor and it is really delicious because you dip it into some shredded young coconut to give it a more nuttier and milky taste.
I ordered two bunches of these this morning and I am just waiting for the vendor lady that sells raw meat, fish, and vegetables to come by and deliver the rice cakes that I ordered. It is so convenient for me to get the food that I want from her because she gives it fresh and with a reasonable price.

I wonder what they look like. They sure look delicious. They don't have anything like that where I live. Is this a special Filipino treat?
It is special because it has a Lye water and has a distinct taste and texture @gungho

It has the shredded mature coconut toppings. I will just have some pineapple juice with it.
