Again and again come voting season those that have the influence, many, power, goons (Guns, Goons, Gold) in the Philippine politics just wins the elections and it is disheartening to see that even when caught with graft and corruption they will just be recycled again as the caricature above portrays.

First the crooked politician will run and then will get the position that they aimed to get. Then after that they will get caught, which is okay for them because they can afford attorneys that will defend them because of their plundered money. They will go to jail but not for long because of their good attorneys.

They will however not land to jail in the first place because their attorney will fix for them to get a hospital arrest which they can afford because again, with their plundered money. After some time they will be freed because of their good attorney as they can afford great lawyers to defend them not to mention their bribe to judges and prosecutors to give them a favor.

Then they are free to join politics again and the cycle continues. It is an inherent problem in politics here because of the power that the politicians get they just can do what they want and making the dumb people who are easily lured by bribes, fake news, black propaganda, and charisma among others just to get the power and fatten their bellies up.

And there is no stopping them until old age if they still want to run for office they can and if they cannot then other members of the family will run instead until the family of politicians becomes more powerful and renowned in the public.
