Dear Diary: Reminiscing My Long Vacation To My Grandmother

In mid 90's after deciding to quit College abruptly because I couldn't cope anymore because of my progressing Kidney disease I went to my grandmother's home after my Uncle stopped-by here when he was driving his Boss to Manila if I can recall it right.

So he picked me up upon his return and we drove up north where they live, it was a long drive I slept to his house and after that I went to my grandmother where I stayed there for four months of vacation.

My reason for going there was for me to be with my relatives there i.e. with my grandmother and cousins and Aunts and my Uncle. It is because I thought that I would die as soon as my Kidneys fail so I just tried to be with them for a while.

At that time I am also with my belief to not eat forbidden foods (normal foods) , animal fats, and I am also drinking like whatever animal drinks a lot. I also do not drink soft drinks even though my grandmother sells it in her store.

So I was really not being in a good time really because of my self-restricted diet. Plus I am already suffering from insomnia at that point so it is just terrible. The only good thing is that I am not bit of a bored person because I man the store of my grandmother sometimes and it was fun because there are many people buying there and the store still makes money until now where my Aunt had taken over.

But at least I had some time with my relatives there I also had a great time with a couple of my cousins where we went into the river rapids and bathe there.

December was the month I decided to go home when my Uncle told me that he will go to Manila to drive his Boss so I can hop along. Actually I am afraid back then to go home all by myself so I just waited for the opportunity for someone like my Uncle. That was the last time I had been in my grandmother's home and I never came back since she died a few years later and also I am already a dialysis patient back then.
