Dear Diary: My Lungs Are Gurgling With Water
I feel like I am slowly drowning as days passes by and my nurses are too callous about my breathing complaints with one nurse pointing about my facial changes saying that it could be the culprit. It just shows their inexperienced judgement which I know already caused a lot of lives lost in my dialysis center.
It is because the most cause of death in the center is drowning with a fluid-filled lungs. It can just be solved by taking extra water from the patient which these nurses refuse because of a fear of the patient dropping their blood pressure.
They always say that the cause of breathlessness was that the patient is drinking too much water, so the blame was always to the patient. But if they only take out extra fluids from the patient's body the patient can have a lot of space for breathing but they won't do it.
Now I just fear for my safety and my parents won't probably agree to my plan to change centers because the way my nurses do treatments now is different than the former years that I was there. They would not listen to the patients so I am both infuriated and disgusted and I am helpless about it.
@cryptopie are you attempting breathing exercises? It can help naturally push fluid off lungs. Ive used it before and is somewhat effective. Cant replace a Dr, but can sustain you until you see one. Sometimes plueracy (spelling) inflames lungs, and fluid builds up. Idk not a doctor but speaking from experience.
I hope you can get to a new center. If youre being treated for anything, a little compassion and empathy do wonders for patient health.
Thank you for your help @ihashblox but my body just has an excess fluids and it has to be taken out. Actually I feel better when they take off water from my body, I can even practice to walk.
Sad news @cryptopie. Unfortunately, I am not a doc and can give good advice, but I didn't want to go away without a word. Water in the lungs doesn't sound good as there should be air. Hope you can make your point clear and get the right help. Courage!
I just hope to last with this condition because it should not be this way.
