Dear Diary: It Is Not Good To Have A Middleman For Raising Funds

It Says Here That I Received 200 Pesos

A few days ago I had made an account in https://gogetfunding.com/ it is just like gofundme but in gofundme my country seeems to be not supported so I just chose gogetfunding.com instead.

Now I posted it on liveleak because it is the only site that I am a bit active because I always am lurking for some videos to watch.

I managed to get some help but I noticed when I went to see the donation in my Paypal account it only reflected 168 pesos while in my gogetfunding account it says I already raised 200 pesos. So the Paypal and the gogetfunding already had made a large cut from my donation with a whopping chunk of the original amount that is intended for me to receive.

In Reality I Only Received This Amount

I remember when my vice minister told us that when a person donates into a charity like red cross or the TV stations, about 80% of the amount that they give goes to that entity and only about 20% goes to the person because for example in TV station donation program they take away some of your money to pay for airtime, the celebrity that endorses it, plus to the expenses they use until you get your donation.

So it is just the middleman that takes large cuts of your donation and it is actually not good because it is like they are taking advantage of your situation so that they themselves get to earn at your expense.

This is what is good about steem or blockchain technology for that matter though because if someone wants to give you something you will get the full amount without any entity in-between, middleman and such to take a cut of your money.
