Many steemins are disheartened about the current STEEM price because from eight dollars it is now down to less than a dollar with a possibility to touch lower process because right now there aren't any much volume in the BTC trading because STEEM price is heavily correlated to that of the BTC if you would notice.

Even the steemfest would not even take the steem price up because the people will attend there are just the same people here. But I am just looking at it in a shallow point of view but it is really the BTC valuation/devaluation that is the driving force force for steem then if steem goes up it is immediately forced back down because everybody is like a deprived boar that needs a female pig to release its own procreative juices.

So it just makes sense to also promote BTC and make it known to our friends and family and preferably investors because of the reason that it needs to get held by many in order to jack up its rarity and in turn to move its price up. SO many people should hold as much as BTC and it will have a positive effect on STEEm's price in turn.

But actually the banks that ban in buying cryptos by credit card was the great influence in the price devaluation of BTC as many can buy before thousands of dollars worth of BTC by a single individual only. But now they can't do it so the price stagnated until the selloff ensues that lead to the price we see today.

It is just my point of view though so we just have to promote BTC and STEEM because they are like Ernie And Bert, always in tandem with their prices and if only steem will double or triple in price it means double or triple your current earnings if you are consistently blogging in the steem community.
