Dear Diary: I Could Not Sleep Well Without Some Gabapentin

This Lion Needs Relaxation

A few years ago I suffered from a condition that is called "Restless Legs Syndrome" (RLS) and it is a condition that makes your legs feels like it wanted to kick so that it will release its tension. It is a very disruptive condition because it affects your sleep.

Fortunately after I had an access to the Internet I learned that it can be cured by a drug that is naturally occurring in our brains. It is a kind of substance that gives us a relaxed mood as it has a direct effect on the brain. It is also prescribed for patients with an epilepsy but one thing it gives me is some feeling of well-being.

So after taking it for the first time for my RLS condition I immediately felt the action and then I also slept well that night. Fortunately there are parents to help me buy it in the middle of the night. And so I had been taking it until I thought that I needed to stop because the re are no more symptoms of RLS anymore.

But I noticed that without it I could not get a better sleep and it makes sleep quite stressful because I would wake up breathless and not feeling well. So intermittently I would take it at times that I needed to get relaxed and get a good natural REM sleep.

I read somewhere that Banana can help you get good sleep. I don't know if you are allowed to eat Bananas but I will advise you check it out. If I am not mistaking, I think the properties in Banana that help with the sleep function is more in it's peelings.

If you are allowed to eat Banana then that would be a natural remedy.

I can't eat much of a banana because of its potassium content. But Gabapentin helps a lot because it is somewhat naturally occurring in our brains.

Happy that you found something that gives you some rest. I really feel for folks that cannot get proper sleep.
