Dear Diary: I Am Still Dreaming Of A New House

Our house was built in 1983 and I can still remember when the house of my grandfather which where I was born were being dismantled to make way for our new home. At that time our house was the newest in our village but now the corrugated roof is now half-eaten by rust and are very dangerous to step on.

I can live in an old house like this but not if the toilet goes unusable and the floor gets flooded by rain water when it rains hard like in the previous weeks back, thanks to the global warming. It is because it is terrible to walk for me even at short distances as my body is not cooperating with my joints and the risk of slipping while walking on a wet floor is dangerous for me as I have brittle bones already.

But I just want a safe, clean, and functional house with a good and peaceful environment although I would miss the noise of the passing cars because we live beside the road. Maybe I would sleep much better if I would live like in the kind of home where my brothers are living, they live in a subdivision with their new homes and it is silent there too.

I also want a home with a small garden, about just a room-sized one but is roofed with transparent roof so that I can enjoy the plants and flowers without exposing myself to the elements so that I can hang around there too and enjoy the morning sunlight.

That is just about it, a safe place with rooms that can accommodate guests and a bathroom with a sauna where I can sit and try to sweat out my bodies toxins because there are seasons like this where I could not sweat much and it makes me have an added hard time managing my fluid intake.

Other than those thing nothing more for my dream house because I could not use them for a long term anyway because of my current medical condition but I also am thinking about the welfare of my parents as I do not think that my siblings will build them a new house because of their own priorities in life. But I still have to dream about it and believe that I can do it.
