Dear Diary: I Am Living Because Of A Miracle In My Life

There is no more insomnia issue for me now body my sleep isn't that normal anymore because it is always light and intermittent, but even though I could not sleep nonstop just like a normal person I am still thankful that I am not suffering from insomnia anymore.

The cause of insomnia for dialysis patients is that their hemoglobin levels are getting low so if they do not take an "EPO" or Erythropoeitin injection their bodies will succumb into losing blood which will cause death. Another temporary way to treat anemia was to get a blood transfusion.

I remember a patient that doesn't know what to do with his acquired blood because the nurses didn't assist him into where his blood could get tested for cross-matching. It is because you needed to cross-match your blood to the blood that will be transfused to you.

That patient's blood went stale because he doesn't know where to simply get it cross-matched so he died from a blood loss and into not getting dialyzed because he has to get a simultaneous blood transfusion while getting dialyzed but it didn't happen. It is just one of those stories that I remembered from a co-patient.

But miraculously my blood hemoglobin levels doesn't go down and in fact it is normal for a few years now. I really can't explain it since the source of Eryhtropoeitin are the kidneys, they give it to the body when hemoglobin levels are low so the bone marrow can produce red blood cells.

So somewhat my Kidney's function is not as zero as I can imagine or maybe it is just a pure miracle from God. Either of the two I am thankful because it just solves my anemia and insomnia issues. That is why I know that the is a divine force working in me and I thank God for it dearly.
