I believe warren buffer don't like the risk associated with cryptocurrencies that is why he referred o bitcoin as rat poison
One thing to realize about Warren Buffet is that the guy has always been after VALUE, thus he never picked stocks based on the hope they'll go up or down, he rather INVESTED in companies that he believed would do good work and deliver value to their customers and shareholders.
To a person like that (especially given his age), of course Bitcoin looks like rat poison squared. Perhaps we here on Steemit recognize Bitcoin's intrinsic value, but to a guy like Buffet, Bitcoin doesn't "work", it's not a company, it doesn't have a product or a service, there is no management team, and how well it's doing is completely up to speculators at this point.
If Buffet is still alive in 5 or 10 years, then we'd be more interest to know what his opinion is!
