More than 504,000 animals died, almost all in Balochistan, and nearly 3,000 kilometers of roads and 129 bridges were damaged, making access to the flood-affected area difficult. At the request of the Balochistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), a rapid cross-sectoral needs assessment was conducted in 10 districts of Balochistan to identify priority needs and gaps in various sectors.

Humanitarian partners are supporting government-led responses in affected areas, reallocating existing resources to meet immediate needs while working to scale up the response.

Aid workers, backed by the army, are battling increasing rains and flooding in several areas of Balochistan and southern Punjab, with people sheltering in tents on major roads and high ground.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Agency, around 145 people died in Balochistan alone during the prolonged monsoon in the province in June.
