Random Thoughts with Cryptokidd
I'm going to assume that everyone on steemit for the most part is following the crypto markets and using crypto on some level. How many of you are involving your spouse, kids, friends, ect? I have been talking about this stuff to my family and friends in casual settings just to see who if anyone is paying attention. I have not went to far down that road unless someone starts asking questions. I don't want to be "that guy" the one that never shuts up about bitcoin at a party making others think I'm crazy. My wife and kids know what I'm doing but haven't been that involved and couldn't tell you what any of it means and for sure wouldn't be able to make a transaction without direction, so that is about to change. I'm thinking about creating a family contest with my wife and daughters to expose them to how this all works. I want to create a fun competition that will basically force them to learn and understand what is going. I'm thinking of giving them each a hardware wallet with a small amount of bitcoin and see what each of them does with the investment opportunity. I was thinking of starting the contest on Memorial Day and ending it on Christmas Day with the winner being the one with the most valuable wallet, and a large gift going to the winner (in addition to the wallet they also get to keep). Tell me what you think and let me know if any of you have done anything similar.
Steem on!
I love the idea and bought my girl friend, father, and best friend all a little bitcoin for Christmas. Two of them have bought more even more after reaching the technology.
HAHA I used to be "that guy", but now I don't waste my time if people don't want to have a educated conversation about it.
You could take the winner to Anarchapulco in Feb, but if the wife dont win ......well it may be a little rough to come home to.
I have been involved in steemit and cryptocurrency but my sisters and friends just see it as stress, but they run to me when they are broke. Trust me steemit has been my active income
My kids know their computers (with upgraded GPUs) mine about $1 USD per day of crypto that I am putting in the vacation fund. They think Bitcoin sounds like such a funny name.
My wife must think this is another stupid idea from an otherwise smart guy, or just another one of my business ventures.
As for friends, I tell them about crypto when they as "What's new?" and leave it at that so they know they can come back and discuss it anytime.
I am not sure you will need to add a prize to the contest as the value of the money they make should be reward enough by christmas! Fantastic idea.

That sounds like an awesome opportunity. I have been trying to get my wife into crypto as well and she’s quite skeptical but she doesn’t know a lot about it. I hope to do this at some point!
