Nice: "Start of starts." I like your phrase. Regarding, attributing works. I write and post poems you can read on my blog. I just started a series of 30 poems in 30 days. I have obtained copyright of my work. But once I hurl my works out to the world I can never stop where they might go. And my own name might never be associated with it again. At least Steemit is a permanent record of who said it first. ;) How do you feel about it?

Honestly, the biggest reason is just to deter someone who might otherwise use it. Although I'd love it to be teeny tiny at the end.. just learning the formatting here! But it's been bugging me to put it, as well. It wrecks the tone of the article, whatever it is.
You are right about there being a permanent record. It's hard: my work is just so precious to me that it's hard to even share and the vulnerability that comes with that, but to think someone would steal it is awful. Anyway: something I think about a lot. I'd like someone to just decide it's not worth the risk with my work. But maybe I'm wrong!
