Sia's Obelisk announcement... Is an ASIC minier

Some of you might have been aware of this announcement of Sia's Obelisk, and been wondering what it was about. Well today we found out that it is the first ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) for SIA mining.

Potentially bad news for those with GPU miners pointed at SIA. I know it is possible to currently dual mine ETH and SIA.

However...

Speculation has begun about Who exactly is manufacturing this chip. One steemer is asking whether or not it might be IBM it's self!

Very interesting to see them shy away from GPU mining but I know personally I'm long term on SIA and am very interested to see what becomes of it.
