Why is Steemit better ?

Steemit launched about a year ago in March 2016. Since then there have been over 170,000 registrations as of May 2017. Compared to Facebook which has 1.94 billion users means that steemit currently has 0.00087%  of the amount of users that Facebook has. Although Facebook has a larger amount of users , it has been around since February 2004. Knowing that Steemit is only just over a year old and is currently still in its beta means that Steemit still has the potential and abilities to grow to a billion users over the next decade. Why could Steemit become a platform with this amount of users? Simply because it is very unique , contributes to many aspects of people's daily life and interests. This can already be seen from the "Tags and Topics", where the users can read about the things they want , and not random/useless videos and articles that people post to influence the readers/audience into purchasing a product or the spreading of propaganda. Steemit shares useful information and with the follow option you can have an overview of the writers that interest you the most. See it as Facebook but instead of posting your lunch or diner you post content that other people actually value and can benefit from it. By saying that it is valued is meant quite literally because by voting someones post they can earn rewards as can their voters and commenters. This creates a sense of actual reward for someones work instead of a simple thumbs up. Other social media platforms such as Instagram , Twitter , Pinterest etc all have similar features that Steemit does but Steemit's reward system is exquisite. Some might say it a way of mining steem dollars but instead of building a miner , you write articles and socialize by following , voting , writing comments and interacting with the society.

Why could Steemit become BIG?

Everyone can use it ! 

Developing countries have a lot of bright minds and information worth sharing. These individuals can therefore build up a capital on Steemit and potentially have a brighter future for themselves and the people around them. People that are part of the Steemit community earn Steem dollars which are meant to increase in value as time passes. This means that If you would for example earn $10 on an article could be worth $100 in the next decade. 

Steemit is multi purpose as it can be used for fundraisers , business proposals , and other startup opportunities opposed to valuable content that can benefit people in the short term and long term. These individuals that use this source for a "Startup" can create jobs and other factors that benefit society , let alone that these individuals can promote Steemit if they become successful. Which eventually will benefit the entire society.  

Steem is very attractive also because of its , as before mentioned , reward system. Because you have the choice of who earns the rewards. 

• There is an option of 100% payout which means that the author earns all of the money raised by the work/article. 
• 50/50 which indicated that both author and people that interact with the article receive an amount of Steem dollars
• Final option is "Decline payout" which speaks for itself.

Good advice for Steemit users is to get as many people involved and write as much valuable content as you can ! That way all of us can benefit from this beauty that is Steemit ! As we are very new to Steemit , Vote , Comment and Interact !
