Splinterlands, continuing it's changed trend of battles with particular ability instead of a particular monster, has given the challenge of battling it out with a Sneak monster.

We have many Sneak monsters from beta, promo, Reward and Untamed editions and Splinter-wise details of Sneak monsters are as below.

Fire Splinter:

Fire Splinter has Pyromaniac and Kobold Miner(one of my favorites)

Water Splinter:

Water Splinter has Coral Wraith and Sabre Shark.

Earth Splinter:

It has Goblin Sorcerer and Goblin Thief.

Life Splinter:

Life has Feral Spirit and Silvershield Assassin.

Death Splinter:

Death Splinter has Skeleton Assassin and Undead Badger.

Dragon Splinter:

It has Shin-Lo and Dragonling Bowman.

Common Sneak monsters:

Elven Cutthroat is the lone monster with Sneak ability under commons.

What is Sneak?

Sneak ability enables a monster to attack from back end of the lineup, i.e the last monster on the lineup will be targeted by Sneak monsters.

Battle and Lineup:

To show the Sneak ability, I played a battle with Death Splinter.

It was a battle of Heavy Hitters(double blow on stunned monsters) and Lost Magic(no magic monsters can be used in battle) with mana of 25.

My Lineup was as below:

I used Lord of Darkness as front monster for the ability of Expand with 3 melee attack.

Next, I used Spineback Wolf for it's reach ability and also it gives 2 melee attack.

I used Skeleton Assassin as third monster for checking the traffic on the backside and also to use it as backup frontline attack.

Used a Haunted Spirit next for 2 ranged attack with Poisoning ability.

Twisted Jester was next up with it's 3 ranged attack and snipe ability.

Lastly, I used a Furious Chicken since 25 mana was done with Twisted Jester itself.

Opponent had Sea Monster, Wave Runner, Crustacean King, Naga Windmaster and Pirate Archer.

Battle:

Initially, I thought, with self healing and also healing by Crustacean King, Sea Monster is better than Lord of Darkness, but Sea Monster's speed of 2 will always be a problem.

Round 1:

Round 1 went smoothly without any monster losing life although Crustacean King and Pirate Archer took blows and got their health reduced to very less.

For me, Lord of Darkness was almost done with 2 health left.

Round 2:

Round 2 had many monsters losing out, Pirate Archer was first to go, followed by Crustacean King and then, Lord of Darkness and Sea Monster.

Round 3:

Sneak and Sniper monsters in Skeleton Assassin and Twisted Jester respectively, didn't allow any further attack and the battle got ended.

Question Answer Time:

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

I think it worked nicely although Lord of Darkness was lost early, it did it's job to contain Sea Monster.

Do you use SNEAK often? Why or why not?

The level of cards I have, gives me very less melee attacks, so, I do not use Sneak monsters much.

May be when I level those up, then I will have the courage to use those monsters.

That is what I wanted to convey my friends.
